Disney Grey Stuff Recipe – Make the Famous Be Our Guest Dessert at Home
The Grey Stuff is a whimsical Disney dessert inspired by the line from Beauty and the Beast: “Try the grey stuff, it’s delicious!” When the Be Our Guest Restaurant opened at Magic Kingdom in 2012, Disney chefs brought this line to life with a cookies-and-cream mousse served on a brownie base or red velvet cupcake. The dessert became a viral sensation on social media, quickly cementing itself as a must-try treat in the parks.
Originally, the Grey Stuff was part of the “Master’s Cupcake” — a chocolate cupcake topped with the mousse. It later appeared as a standalone treat, served as a decorative swirl of light gray cream topped with shimmering edible pearls. Now, you can bring a taste of Disney magic into your kitchen with an easy homemade version that looks and tastes just like the park original!
