Test Track is an exhilarating ride located in Epcot’s Future World at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. It combines cutting-edge technology, automotive design, and high-speed thrills to create an unforgettable experience for guests of all ages.

The Concept

Inspired by automotive testing facilities, Test Track invites guests to become automotive designers and test drivers. The attraction takes you through various stages of vehicle development, from designing your own car to putting it through rigorous performance tests.

Queue Experience

As you approach Test Track, the futuristic design of the building captures your attention. The queue area immerses you in the world of automotive engineering, with interactive displays, concept cars, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of vehicle testing.

Design Your Car

Before the ride begins, you’ll have the opportunity to design your own virtual car. Using touchscreens, you can choose attributes like body shape, color, and performance features. Will your car be sleek and aerodynamic or rugged and powerful? The choice is yours!

The Ride

Once you’ve designed your car, it’s time to board the ride vehicle—a sleek, open-air “SimCar.” Hold on tight as you speed through a series of exhilarating tests:

1. Capability Test: Experience extreme weather conditions, including icy roads and steep hills. Your car’s handling and stability will be put to the test.
2. Efficiency Test: Zoom through a neon-lit tunnel, measuring your car’s fuel efficiency. Will it pass with flying colors?
3. Power Test: Accelerate to high speeds on the outdoor track. Feel the wind in your hair as you race against the clock.
4. Reliability Test: Dodge obstacles and avoid collisions. Can your car withstand sudden stops and sharp turns?

The Big Reveal

After the tests, you’ll receive a score based on your car’s performance. Will it be a top-notch vehicle or need some fine-tuning? As you exit, you can compare your results with other riders and see how your design stacks up.

Closing on June 17, 2024

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Test Track is scheduled to close temporarily for refurbishment on June 17, 2024. During this time, Disney Imagineers will enhance the attraction, ensuring that it continues to captivate guests for years to come.
