Disney Spring Rolls Recipe: Make the Iconic Magic Kingdom Snack at Home

If you’ve visited Magic Kingdom in recent years, you’ve likely seen the long lines at the Spring Roll Cart located near the entrance to Adventureland. These handheld delights have become a cult favorite snack for Disney foodies. Disney frequently rotates flavors like Cheeseburger Spring Rolls, Buffalo Chicken, and Pepperoni Pizza, but the crispy, golden exterior and perfectly seasoned filling are what make these little bites irresistible.

Originally introduced as a limited-time offering, the spring rolls quickly became a permanent menu item due to their popularity. Fans now seek them out as must-try park treats. This homemade recipe captures the magic of Disney’s spring rolls with simple ingredients and the same savory crunch that guests love.

Ingredients

For 8 spring rolls:

  • 8 spring roll wrappers (or large egg roll wrappers)
  • 1 cup ground beef, fully cooked and seasoned
  • ½ cup diced onions, sautéed
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup American cheese, diced (for that classic cheeseburger flavor)
  • 2 tbsp pickles, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt

•⁃Cooking oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling
    • In a skillet on medium heat, combine cooked ground beef, onions, ketchup, mustard, and spices. Stir until everything is well mixed and heated through.
    • Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before adding cheeses. Stir in shredded and diced cheese until evenly distributed.
  2. Assemble the Spring Rolls
    • Lay one spring roll wrapper diagonally (like a diamond) on a clean surface.
    • Scoop 2–3 tablespoons of filling onto the lower third of the wrapper.
    • Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly. Use a dab of water on the final corner to seal. Repeat for all wrappers.
  3. Fry Until Golden
    • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep pan.
    • Fry spring rolls in small batches for 3–4 minutes, turning to ensure even browning.
    • Remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. Serve and Enjoy

•⁃Serve warm with extra ketchup, mustard, or a copycat Disney dipping sauce.
