Minor Disappointment When Entering Disney World Property

One thing that is going to be a minor disappointment to this year’s trip to Disney World in Lak
e Buena Vista, FL is that visitors are no longer able to drive under the Walt Disney World Properties sign to to a major road construction project in the area.  The highway that is driven as you enter Walt Disney World Properties is being temporarily routed to the oncoming side of the road and around the entrance sign.

The construction project is to build a new interchange at the toll booth for the Magic Kingdom parking area to allow a buses only lane and a fly-over for direct access to the Contemporary Hotel.  Construction is ongoing and visitors should expect delays and congestion through the project (as with any construction project on a busy highway.).

Construction is scheduled to be completed sometime in 2018.
